The upcoming 2015 Ford Mustang will be offering a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with the car. The chief engineer of Chevrolet, Al Oppenheiser, agrees that although this is currently "the golden era of the pony car...there may be a day when nobody has a V8."
The new Z/28 and it's 7 liter V8 is likely going to built on a smaller and lighter rear-wheel-drive platform for the sixth generation Camaro's. There are also fuel-saving stretchers for the Corvette with it's premium lightweight materials and a seven speed manual.
