The First 2014 COPO Camaro Auction

Chevrolet's COPO program is returning with a fifth generation COPO Camaro collab of race cars. Like the past two years, only 69 of these dragsters will be built for use in the NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes.

Customers now have a wider range of engines to pick from. Not only the 7 liter V8 engine, but a supercharged version of the 5.7 V8 introduced this year. While the engine may be altered, the COPO uses racing chassis and suspension components, including independent rear suspension. Every car comes with safety equipment, including an NHRA certified roll cage.

The Camaro also comes with new racing seats, a new wheel design, and an updated graphics package.

The only Camaro that will be painted Ice Blue Metallic has the #1 serial number. It will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson's annual January event in Scottsdale, Ariz. All proceeds from that car will go to Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans.
