Camaro's With Turbocharger's Not Gonna Happen Any Time Soon

The upcoming 2015 Ford Mustang will be offering a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with the car. The chief engineer of Chevrolet, Al Oppenheiser, agrees that  although this is currently "the golden era of the pony car...there may be a day when nobody has a V8."

The new Z/28 and it's 7 liter V8 is likely going to built on a smaller and lighter rear-wheel-drive platform for the sixth generation Camaro's. There are also fuel-saving stretchers for the Corvette with it's premium lightweight materials and a seven speed manual.

Saleen SA-30 Series

Saleen is celebrating their racing heritage of 30 years with a limited-production car line called the SA-30. These cars are based on the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger. Each model will only have 10 cars and the base price is starting at $95,000.

There will be upgraded suspension, brakes and engines, and the Mustang will be the top performer at 625 horsepower. Each car is going to have a custom pearl white hue paint job with black and yellow accents. The white wheels are also covering the yellow brake calipers. The interior is decked out with black leather and white Alcantara on the seats. SA-30 badges are also everywhere.

With the custom cars already made, customers will have even more extensive options to choose from. This includes a rear seat delete option. The best thing of all is the Frost-Touch Glass made by Saleen, and is an option on the SA-30 302 Mustang. It allows the optional glass roof and rear window to be able to switch between transparent to opaque with a push of a button.

S2000 Vs. Camaro In a Close Final During a Quarter Mile

S2000 Vs. Camaro Comes Out Close in the Quarter Mile

S2000 Vs. Camaro Comes Out Close in the Quarter Mile

There was $15k on the line for this race between the Honda S2000 and the Camaro, which is really impressive in itself. The Honda is not known for any record breaking overall power, but the amount of horsepower per liter was unheard of in it's price range. This little car can really book it for it's added parts.

The First 2014 COPO Camaro Auction

Chevrolet's COPO program is returning with a fifth generation COPO Camaro collab of race cars. Like the past two years, only 69 of these dragsters will be built for use in the NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes.

Customers now have a wider range of engines to pick from. Not only the 7 liter V8 engine, but a supercharged version of the 5.7 V8 introduced this year. While the engine may be altered, the COPO uses racing chassis and suspension components, including independent rear suspension. Every car comes with safety equipment, including an NHRA certified roll cage.

The Camaro also comes with new racing seats, a new wheel design, and an updated graphics package.

The only Camaro that will be painted Ice Blue Metallic has the #1 serial number. It will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson's annual January event in Scottsdale, Ariz. All proceeds from that car will go to Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans.

Unsticky Sticker's

Apparently Chevrolet is recalling Camaro's of 2013 and 2014 because of the fact that air bag warning stickers are not staying stuck at all. So if you see that they stickers are falling off, remember that they are being recalled.

New Changes to the 2014 Chevy Camaro

The new changes that may make you say, DANG, will really make you want new things. The Chevy MyLink interface with a 7-inch touchscreen display has been added in addition to a head-up display system. There is also a more streamlined front that provides improved cooling and better stability at high speeds. Headlights are also slimmer and a vented hood has been added. The rear has similar things like single unit horizontal tail lights.
