Redline Motorsports Outfits a 2014 Camaro ZL1 With Twin Turbos

2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS New York 08

Some customers can be quite picky about what they want in a custom Camaro. This customer however decided that his car wasn't fast enough.
Usually a standard Chevy Camaro that rolls out of the production line has a standard 580 hp. With Redline Motorsports, they come out with a TVS1900 supercharger, which wasn't good enough apparently. To make it work, they removed it and replaced a twin turbo system from IPS Motorsports.

The factory supercharger was removed and an LS3 manifold was put into place. Two Garrett GT35R turbos were added, running at 14 psi each. The owner of the car also wanted to keep the stock auto transmission but wanted a little bit of extra power.

C63 AMG Vs. Camaro SS - AIRPORT

You may be thinking that European's know very little about muscle cars, but they are highly sought after there more. Higher prices, higher gas prices, and much higher insurance prices means they don't sell as much as they would like to. This next drag race is hosted in Germany. This time it's a Camaro SS, up against the C63 AMG (aka the camera car.)

These cars from across the pond are about the closest thing Germany has to muscle cars, even if the vast price difference makes it a bit unfair.

7-Second Second-Generation Camaro on the Street

The second generation Camaro wasn't really what it could have been. Halted by the new emission regulations set by the EPA, the car was mostly for show. But one person brought back a second generation Camaro with an LSX combined with twin turbos that can run a quarter mile in 7 seconds. The video below shows the owner giving details about the work put in that makes this Camaro so fast.

Supercharged Mustang Vs. Big Block Camaro

THIS IS EPIC! MUSTANG VS. CAMARO.

We've seen a ton of videos, but this is one of the better ones, thanks to the extensive modification gone into these cars. The older Camaro has a big block V8 engine that is sure to rev your whole body; while the Mustang is holding a Vortech supercharger on it's smaller V8.
It is a pretty close race and this video comes with a shot of the finish! Let me know what you think of the video.

You know how you always wanted that one special car that beats out all the competition. Well this car may be it.

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 clocks 7:37.47 at the Nurburgring

The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has set a lap time of 7:37.47 in damp conditions at the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. The high performance American muscle car completed the lap of the 20.8km circuit through Germany's Eifel mountains in a time that puts it ahead of the Ferrari 458 Italia (7:38), 991 Porsche 911 Carrera (7:37,9), and the Lexus LFA (7:38.85). To date, only the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and the SRT Viper have set faster times for American cars at the infamous track.

LSX Takes Indy: 2013 Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout

A 5th-Gen Camaro Spinning Its Tires

DRAG RACING SEASON! There is no bigger time than the Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout! Once a year, drag racers from all around the country descend to the Lucas Oil Raceway at the end of the LSX Challenge Series.

From October 10th to the 13th.

Run under the National Muscle Car Association (NMCA), the LSX Challenge Series is a set of four events run through the calendar, comprised of five classes; Drag Radial, Real Street, All Motor, Rumble, and 5th Generation Camaro Challenge. The 2013 season was an interesting one. Despite the less than ideal conditions, the event in Atlanta saw excessive heat, but the racing has still been great.

Drag Radial points leaders Mike Brown and Anthony Manna were separated by 0.011 seconds going into round 1, and will see each other in the final round in Indy.

Brown, along with teammate Mark Koehler, started this year with twin-turbo setups, which propelled the two to, 7.074 at 209.04 mph and 7.078 at 208.94 mph.

There was a lot to look forward to at this year's Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout. It took place at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. The event is the most established and biggest LSX-only racing event in the country. If you couldn't make it, you can find coverage on The Block!
